By car

Several big car parks are located in the vicinity of Bregenz Festival House. When entering the town by car, you will be guided to car parks with free spaces by a parking management system.

Directions for motorists:

coming from the direction of Innsbruck

•    Autobahn A 14 (motorway tax "vignette" required)
•    Bregenz exit
•    City Tunnel
•    after the tunnel, bear right (Rheinstraße)
•    after approx. 400 m turn right over the bridge (sign "Festspielhaus")

coming from Switzerland

•    Customs office at Höchst (Austria)
•    then turn right at the first junction
•    continue on the B 202 via Fußach and Hard in the direction of Bregenz "Zentrum" (Rheinstraße)
•    straight ahead until the sign "Festspielhaus", then turn right over the bridge

 coming from Germany

•    Autobahn A 14 (motorway tax "vignette" required)
•    Pfänder Tunnel
•    after the tunnel take the first exit on the right to Bregenz
•    City Tunnel
•    after the tunnel, bear right (Rheinstraße)
•    after approx. 400 m turn right over the bridge (sign "Festspielhaus")

 on the Bundesstraße (from Lindau)

•    B 190 in the direction of Bregenz (along the coast of Lake Constance)
•    follow the arrows in the direction of Switzerland
•    approx. 600 m after the railway station, turn left over the bridge (sign "Festspielhaus")

 ... after the bridge turn right and you will find yourself in the Parkplatz Ost car park (P7) in front of Bregenz Festival House.

Our tip for a hassle-free journey on the Autobahn:
Buy a "Korridor-Vignette" sticker for your car window. This is especially for the section of the Autobahn in Austria between the German and Swiss borders. It is valid for 24 hours and costs only 2 EUR each way.
